The paper is aspiring to propose some basic (philosophical) arguments to reintroduce the economic subject into the economic process. The general incapacity of the economic science (or economic theory) to model the economic process in a veridical and testable way finds its fundamental cause in the elimination of the economic subject from the economic process. To correct this crucial mistake, the paper defines four basic concepts: economic process, economic phenomenon, economic subject and economic object in a logical way (through the sufficient and necessary predicates) and tries, on these bases, to conclude on the necessity that the economic subject and the economic object be indiscernible within the economic model. Finally, some epistemological and methodological consequences of the indiscernible ”subject-object package” are delivered, in order to offer a conceptual base to build a new paradigm of the economic process, in which the objectivity principle is rejected while the intelligibility principle is kept.
