The present work intends to bring few clarifications, hopefully useful, in the general problem of economic competition. As it is probably already known by the reader, most of the XXth century studies on this subject are almost mysteriously dominated by the neoclassical writers\'s (leaders would be one like Paul Samuelson and William Baumol) construction of perfect competition. In a way of speaking, in the field of economic competition, XXth century paid tribute to this vision, where firms have small size and are not able to have a significant impact on prices. Here I oppose the perfect competition model to that of free competition, the latter being the intellectual benchmark of the Austrian School in competition theory. The question is which one is more realistic and coherent for it is these features that can guarantee a rational interpretation of entrepreneur\'s actions in the market.
