Human society is now in a new, post-industrial age, described by the power of the new micro-electronics and informatics technologies that lead us into the future knowledge based society. Due to these conditions, the markets achieve new characteristics and the management of the manufacturing companies changes in accord with the challenges of diversification and globalization. The Internet brings clients needs closer to the producers and shortening distances and response times. The IT sector has benefic effects on the Romanian society at all levels and contributes to the transformations required by the knowledge society integration.
