Multiple effects are generated by collaborative networks, at different complexity level. Collaboration across networks generates synergies through interactions between organizations. By synergies, organizations capitalize and develop their individual potentials and capabilities and most important generate the emergence of mutual potential and capabilities through collaboration.

“The Principles of Scientific Management” by Frederick Taylor is among the first attempts to set up a coherent set of principles and rules in the practice of management. While Taylor seems to have gone too far by claiming that the status of his statements is scientific, we argue that he made important contributions by the innovative application of economic theory to the organization of production.

One of the theories widely discussed and used to explain the phenomenon of international production is the “eclectic paradigm” put forward by John Dunning. In this research note, some aspect of this theory/paradigm will be critically assessed or pointed to: the difficult and elusive jargon; the problematic fundamental classification; quasi-complete elimination of the human intentional factor.

The present work intends to bring few clarifications, hopefully useful, in the general problem of economic competition. As it is probably already known by the reader, most of the XXth century studies on this subject are almost mysteriously dominated by the neoclassical writers\\\'s (leaders would be one like Paul Samuelson and William Baumol) construction of perfect competition.

Organizational competitiveness should not be analysed only in terms of performance (competitiveness “as result”), but also by taking into account the capacity to defend and constantly renew its sources of competitive advantage (competitiveness as “driver of competitive advantage”). The main idea of this paper is that future competitiveness is an output that depends on a series of other variables.
