My main aim is to present the phenomena related to fulfillment and breach of promises and the economic, political and ethical problems arising from these. I discuss questions that we all meet with in daily life and see mentioned in the press, other forums of public discourse, gatherings of friends, or sessions of Parliament. I am seeking what is common among these seemingly different cases.

The present essay outlines the defining features of the capitalist system, the evolution of the Western political models during history and the way these have reflected in the business and financial reporting models. The differences between the Anglo-Saxon business model and the continental model are detailed, the advantages and disadvantages of both models being biefly assessed.

Economists and political economists emphasize the importance of exogenous shocks, international economic competition, policy conditionality and partisan politics as the main drivers of literature on economic policy change. This paper evaluates the explanatory robustness of these factors and stresses the importance of incorporating economic ideas as a fruitful new direction in research on this topic.

The present study aims, within the mainframe of the Patristic teaching on the link between the acquiring of knowledge by means of scientific reasoning and that by religious belief, to emphasize the epistemological need for and use of the “scientific knowledge assisted by grace” and then to shed light on the even greater epistemological need for and use of “prophetic knowledge”.

The article “the economy of creative imagination” argues in favour of the assumption that the process of creating economic goods, as well as living conditions of an individual, is accomplished, first of all, in the person\\\\\\\'s brain, in the imagination, by mobilizing the cosmic energies of a certain frequency. Then, by physical and intellectual effort, the “created” goods take their physical and visible form.
