Institutions are the rules that guide social interactions. By creating incentives or constraints, they guide human actions in the social cooperation process. Society is a reflection of social cooperation and becomes, in fact, the expression of the existing institutional frame. In this paper, this general and valid hypothesis is applied for the analysis of education.

By nuancing the Austrian School, Misesian theory of interventionism with the actions of political entrepreneurs, particularly by emphasizing the logic behind political action, the paper will attempt to present a realist theory of political integration, while defending the Misesian theory of interventionism against allegations of never reaching either one of the predicted outcomes: socialism or laissez-faire.

Following the credit boom which ended with the global crisis, most of the European economies have faced a credit crunch which strongly affected economic growth. In its turn, growth slowdown has hindered credit recovery, generating a vicious circle. This paper explores the causal relationship between domestic credit and domestic product, for a sample of European countries (2004-2013).

Analytical dilemmas related to what has been established over time to be the European Social Model and its reverberations at public policies level, especially in the context of European economic integration process, were revived amid the great and deep challenges facing all societal actors by the economic and financial crisis whose magnitude has increased since the second half of 2008.

In the economic (more generally, social) domain the factual testing of the opinions (either theories or hypotheses) is compromised by at least five non-orthodoxies: non-invariance of the initial conditions, teleology (purposes), hermeneutics of the factual experience, normativity inside the explanation, and non-verifiability of the isomorphism model-phenomenon.

In the first part (§§1-3), based on the ontological and epistemological problems and solutions and on the analysis of the philosophical grounds of three main schools of economics, exposed in the previous papers, a short overview of the philosophy of the multilevel reality is undertaken. It is shown that the hierarchy of the sciences is not only formal, but corresponds to a true organization of the reality.
