Life has numerous imperatives among which peace and welfare (without opulence) can be found. Is our world a peaceful one and do people enjoy a decent living? History, but also the present unfolding of events show us that life has frequently been put in danger and continues to be so; it is even violently suppressed without compunction. In this context, the authors highlight the idea of the Romanian academician Solomon Marcus that tells us that there is a “need of transcendence”. Indeed, we believe that life is going to be respected when we will admit that every human being is endowed with a dignity of transcendent nature, a dignity that is equal for all of us. This fact will lead to a social texture that is marked by communion, through love, as opposite to the present impoverishment of interpersonal relations that are marked by the globalization of indifference. To this matter, we need to appeal to another vision, the transcendental vision, because, isn’t it so, we become what we are thinking.
