The changes in the last years on the labour market have determined young people to turn their attention to entrepreneurship. The chance to have a secure job, a flexible schedule and to run a business are some of the most important benefits perceived by young entrepreneurs. During the last years, many studies have been developed in this area of activity that aimed to identify the perception of young people about the possibility of starting a business. Given the rapid development of this activity sector, we considered necessary to perform a research regarding the perception of young people about the opportunities in developing a new business through European Funds projects. The research was carried out between March 9th, 2015, and May 30th, 2015, on a sample of 80 respondents. A questionnaire to collect the data, posted on an online platform, has been used as a tool for this research. Data were analysed using IBM SPSS Statistics 20.
