Providers of energy and energy-intensive products all over the world will face at least a decade of uncertainty, generated by the unprecedented mutations taking place in the global economy. These changes, affecting industrial development, the business environment, ecology and society, will converge in creating a completely different operational framework for companies, beyond 2020. In response, companies will have to make extremely difficult strategic, technological, organizational and operational decisions, which, due to the utmost importance of energy, will be crucial for all the actors in the world markets.
