Nowadays it becomes obvious that entrepreneurship and economic performance are closely linked. We must admit that some economies tend to grow faster than others if the institutional structure is in favour of the market-oriented entrepreneurship. From the institutional perspective, the prosperity is the effect of social institutions that guide human action. This paper concludes that institutions are the ultimate argument that we need in order to explain why some nations are rich while most remain poor.
